A quick and delicious casserole that combines ground beef, rice, and cheese for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef

Grains

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice

Vegetables

  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Canned Goods

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup ((10.5 oz))

Dairy

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk

Spices

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Oils

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook ground beef until browned.
  • Add onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
  • Stir in rice, soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Transfer to a greased casserole dish, cover with foil, and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for another 15 minutes.

Notes

Let rest for 5 minutes before serving for better flavor.
