Delicious and spicy Cajun steak quesadillas packed with flavor and perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1-1.5 lb steak (Use your preferred cut, sliced thinly)

Breads

  • 4 large flour tortillas flour tortillas

Seasonings

  • 5-6 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (Divided, adjust to taste)

Dairy & Fats

  • 4-8 tablespoons butter (Softened, use unsalted if seasoning is salty)

Cheese

  • 4 cups Mexican shredded cheese blend (Or your favorite cheese)

Vegetables

  • 0.5 cup fresh mushrooms (Diced)
  • 0.5 cup diced onion (From 1 small onion)

Instructions 

  • Season the steak with Cajun seasoning and cook until desired doneness. Slice thinly.
  • In a skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms and onions until tender.
  • Place a tortilla on a skillet, sprinkle with cheese, add steak, mushrooms, onions, then top with more cheese and another tortilla.
  • Cook until the bottom is golden, then flip and cook the other side until cheese melts and tortillas are crispy.
  • Remove from skillet, cut into wedges, and serve hot.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for spiciness.
