A hearty and cheesy baked pasta dish featuring tender chicken, marinara, and melty cheeses, perfect for a comforting family dinner.
Ingredients
Pasta and Chicken

ziti pasta, cooked
(reserve 1/2 cup pasta water)

boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed

olive oil

Italian seasoning

red pepper chili flakes (optional)

marinara sauce

ricotta cheese

mozzarella cheese, shredded

Parmesan

basil, chiffonade
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cook ziti pasta, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
Cook chicken in olive oil with seasonings until done. Add marinara and reserved pasta water, simmer.
Combine sauce with cooked pasta, ricotta, and basil. Transfer to a baking dish.
Top with mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then broil until bubbly and browned.
Garnish with basil and serve with extra red sauce if desired.
Notes
Spray foil with non-stick spray to prevent cheese from sticking during baking.
