A delicious baked pasta dish featuring jumbo shells filled with chicken, cheese, and flavorful tomato sauce, perfect for a comforting family dinner.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 ounces jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups chicken tenders (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 14 ounces canned diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (minced)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook pasta shells, then drain.
  • Simmer garlic, tomatoes, and Italian seasoning; stir in half the cheese and chicken.
  • Stuff shells with mixture, place in baking dish, then top with marinara, tomato paste, and Parmesan.
  • Bake covered for 20 minutes, then top with remaining cheese and bake 10 more minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a splash of heavy cream before baking.
