Ingredients
Dough
1
cup
Chickpea Flour
(The star of the show, providing a nutty flavor and essential structure.)
0.75
cup
Nondairy Milk
(Almond or cashew milk are great alternatives.)
1
tbsp
Lemon Juice
(Acts as a curdling agent for the milk.)
2
tbsp
Whole Psyllium Husks
(Helps bind the dough and retain moisture.)
1
tbsp
Baking Powder
(Ensures lightness in texture without yeast.)
½
tsp
Baking Soda
(Works alongside baking powder for a fluffy naan.)
½
tsp
Salt
(Enhances the overall flavor beautifully.)
1
tsp
Garlic Powder
(For a flavorful twist.)
1
tbsp
Vegetable Oil
(Any neutral oil works well.)
1
tbsp
Nonstick Cooking Spray
(To keep your skillet non-stick.)
Instructions
Mix chickpea flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder in a bowl.
Add lemon juice to nondairy milk and let sit for a minute, then combine with dry ingredients along with psyllium husks and oil to form a dough.
Divide dough into 4 balls and roll each into a flat circle.
Heat a skillet with nonstick spray over medium heat, then cook each naan for 2-3 minutes per side until golden.
Notes
Ensure the skillet is hot enough before adding the naan for best results.
