A delicious and festive dish featuring tender meatballs coated in a sweet and tangy cranberry glaze, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground chicken, turkey or beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup stuffing, prepared
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • Pinch salt & pepper

Sauce

  • 1 bag whole cranberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup additional sugar (if needed) (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon sage
  • Pinch salt & pepper

Instructions 

  • Mix all meatball ingredients, form into 2-inch balls, and bake at 400°F for 10-15 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, combine water, cranberries, butter, sugar, and seasonings; bring to a boil and cook until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
  • Puree the sauce in a food processor, adjust thickness with water, and add sugar to taste.
  • Pour sauce into crockpot, add meatballs, and heat on low for 1 hour. Keep warm and serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, simmer the sauce longer before adding meatballs.
