These crispy wonton cups filled with savory chicken make for a perfect quick appetizer that impresses with flavor and texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 12 wrappers wonton wrappers
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions green onions, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (non-alcohol alternative)
  • Sweet chili sauce for drizzling or dipping

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 12-cup muffin tin with non-stick spray.
  • Press each wonton wrapper into muffin cups and bake for 6-8 minutes until golden and crisp.
  • Cook ground chicken in a skillet until no longer pink, then add ginger, garlic, green onions, water chestnuts, soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Fill each baked wonton cup with the chicken mixture. Drizzle with sweet chili sauce and garnish with green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure wonton wrappers are baked until crispy for the best texture.
