A hearty and flavorful slow-cooked Hungarian goulash perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat (cut into 1-inch cubes)

Vegetables

  • 1 small yellow onion (finely diced)

Sauces & Condiments

  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup water

Optional Thickener

  • 0.25 cup flour

Instructions 

  • Place beef, onion, ketchup, salt, paprika, sugar, mustard, worcestershire, and water in crockpot.
  • Cook on low 6–8 hours or high 3–4 hours.
  • Mix flour and water, then stir into crockpot. Cook on high 15 minutes.
  • Serve over noodles.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, add flour mixture as directed.
