Ingredients

Rice

  • 2 cups cooked rice (Use day-old rice for best texture)

Eggs

  • 2 large large eggs (Provide fluffy richness and protein)

Vegetables

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (A colorful combo (carrots, peas, bell peppers))

Green onions

  • 2 stalks green onions (Sliced)

Garlic

  • 1 clove clove garlic (Minced)

Soy Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (For depth and umami)

Sesame Oil

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (Add a nutty aroma)

Salt

  • to taste salt

Pepper

  • to taste pepper

Ginger

  • 1 inch inch ginger (Grated, for a zesty kick)

Chili Flakes

  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (For added heat)

Cooked Chicken or Shrimp

  • 1 cup cooked chicken or shrimp (For extra protein)

Instructions 

  • Heat sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté until fragrant.
  • Push ingredients to the side, scramble eggs in the pan, then add vegetables and cooked protein; stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add cooked rice, soy sauce, chili flakes, salt, and pepper; stir well to combine and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.

Notes

Use day-old rice for best texture and flavor.
