Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb boneless beef, cut into small, bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • as needed for serving Cooked rice
  • as needed for garnish Fresh green onions, thinly sliced
  • as needed for garnish Sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Reduce heat. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and chili flakes. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  • Return beef to skillet, coat with sauce, and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender and sticky.
  • Serve over rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Use high-quality beef for best flavor. Adjust chili flakes to taste for spice.
