A flavorful and satisfying dish combining tender steak, fragrant garlic, and perfectly fried rice, all in one pan.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 10 oz oz ribeye or sirloin steak, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups cooked rice, chilled
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Toss steak cubes with soy sauce, olive oil, and black pepper. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Sear steak in a hot skillet for 2–3 minutes, then remove and set aside.
  • Add butter and garlic to the skillet; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add rice, toss to crisp slightly, then stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce.
  • Return steak, toss with rice, add green onions, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve immediately in bowls or plates.

Notes

Use chilled rice for better texture and flavor.
