Ingredients

Cake Mix

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup canola oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 10 oz. miniature marshmallows
  • 2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 5 oz. evaporated milk
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Mix cake mix, water, oil, and eggs; pour into a greased pan.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
  • Immediately sprinkle marshmallows over hot cake; let set.
  • Heat butter, sugar, and milk; boil 30 seconds, then add chocolate chips and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.
  • Pour chocolate icing over marshmallows; cool completely before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use high-quality chocolate chips and fresh marshmallows.
