Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef ((450g))
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning

Pasta

  • 8 ounces pasta ((225g, such as penne, rotini, or shells))

Canned Goods

  • 1 can diced tomatoes ((14.5 ounces))
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

Broth

  • 2 cups beef broth or water

Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheese ((cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend))

Optional ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic ((minced, optional))
  • 0.5 cup black beans ((optional))
  • 0.5 cup corn kernels ((optional))
  • 0.25 cup jalapeƱos or diced bell peppers ((optional))

Instructions 

  • In a large pot, cook ground beef until browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth. Bring to a boil.
  • Add pasta and optional ingredients like beans, corn, and peppers. Reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked and sauce thickens, about 15 minutes.
  • Stir in shredded cheese until melted. Serve hot.

You can customize the toppings with your favorite vegetables or additional cheese for extra flavor.
