Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb flank steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

Oil

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Vegetables

  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced green bell pepper

Garlic

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Rice

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice

Broth & Sauces

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Seasoning & Salt

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Garnish

  • for garnish Chopped green onions

Instructions 

  • Coat steak pieces with Cajun seasoning.
  • Heat oil in skillet, sear steak 3-4 minutes, then set aside.
  • Sauté onion and peppers 5 minutes, add garlic, cook 1 minute.
  • Stir in rice, add broth, soy sauce, honey; bring to boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover, simmer 15 minutes. Return steak, fluff rice, season.

Notes

Adjust seasoning to taste and garnish with green onions before serving.
