Ingredients

Meat and Vegetables

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper Black pepper, freshly ground (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ΒΌ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 ounces uncooked pasta (elbow macaroni or small shells)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 6 ounces provolone cheese, sliced or shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  • Slice the peppers and onions; mince the garlic.
  • Cook onions and peppers in olive oil until softened, then add garlic and beef; cook until browned. Season with spices and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Add pasta and broth; simmer until pasta is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  • Sprinkle cheeses over the skillet and stir until melted. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
