A cozy and easy homemade applesauce made in the slow cooker, flavored with cinnamon and a hint of vanilla.
Ingredients

apples, peeled, cored and roughly chopped

filtered water

packed light brown sugar

ground cinnamon

teaspoon
apple cider vinegar

tsp
vanilla extract or paste (optional)
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours until tender.
Use a wire whisk or potato masher to mash the apples to your desired consistency.
Cool completely and store in an airtight container in the fridge. Makes 3-4 cups.
Notes
Adjust sweetness or cinnamon to taste.
