Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with foil and spray.
Melt butter in microwave, then whisk in egg, sugar, molasses, vanilla, spices, and salt until smooth.
Stir in flour until just combined, then fold in 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips.
Spread batter in prepared pan, sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top, pressing lightly.
Bake for 32-34 minutes until edges are set but center is fudgy. Cool before slicing.
