A delicious and savory stir-fry featuring tender beef, crunchy vegetables, and flavorful sauce served over rice noodles.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound Beef sirloin or flank steak (thinly sliced)
  • ¼ cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha or chili paste (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 units Carrots (julienned)
  • 1 unit Bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 3 units Green onions (sliced)
  • 8 ounces Rice noodles
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Marinate the beef with soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and hoisin sauce for 20-30 minutes.
  • Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a skillet, sear beef in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, then set aside.
  • Sauté carrots and bell pepper until slightly tender, then add reserved marinade and beef. Thicken sauce with cornstarch mixed with water, simmer until sticky.
  • Combine noodles with sauce, toss well, then garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of water if noodles seem dry while tossing.
