Enjoy tender beef coated in a savory, sweet glaze served over perfectly cooked rice noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds for a flavorful Asian-inspired dish.

Ingredients

Meat and Starch

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced across the grain
  • 12 oz dried rice noodles

Sauces and Seasonings

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sriracha

Garnish

  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Whisk soy sauce, hoisin, sugar, vinegar, and sriracha until sugar dissolves.
  • Toss beef with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook noodles according to package, drain, set aside.
  • Heat oil, sear beef 2 min per side, remove from pan.
  • Sauté garlic and ginger, add glaze, simmer until thickened.
  • Return beef and noodles, toss to coat. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Use high heat for searing to get a good crust on the beef.
