A flavorful pasta dish featuring tender seared steak in a sweet and spicy garlic sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes (Marinate with soy sauce, salt, pepper, and olive oil)
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce (for marinating steak)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil (for searing steak)

Aromatics

  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced

Sauce ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce (for the sauce)
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp water (to loosen sauce)

Pasta

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine) (Cooked and tossed with butter)
  • Salt to taste Salt for pasta water
  • 2 Tbsp butter (for tossing pasta)

Garnish (optional)

  • to taste toasted sesame seeds, chopped parsley, green onions, or extra red pepper flakes

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then toss with butter and set aside.
  • Marinate steak cubes with soy sauce, salt, pepper, and olive oil; sear in a hot skillet until golden, then set aside.
  • Sauté garlic in the same pan, add sauce ingredients, and simmer until thickened.
  • Combine pasta with sauce, fold in steak, and loosen with reserved pasta water if needed. Garnish and serve hot.

Notes

Adjust spice levels by adding more or less red pepper flakes. Short marinade enhances flavor and crust development.
