Ingredients

Chips & Base

  • 12 oz thick restaurant-style tortilla chips (1 bag)

Seasoned Beef

  • 1 lb ground beef (85/15)
  • 1.25 oz taco seasoning (or 2 Tbsp homemade blend)

Toppings & Fillings

  • 0.5 cup chunky salsa (plus more for serving)
  • 1 can black beans (15 oz, drained and rinsed)
  • 3 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend (or half sharp cheddar / half Monterey Jack)
  • 1 whole jalapeño (thinly sliced or pickled)
  • 1 cup pico de gallo (store-bought or homemade)
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 4 green onions green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 whole ripe avocado (diced or 1/2 cup guacamole)
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)

For Serving

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread chips on a baking sheet.
  • Cook ground beef with taco seasoning until browned, then evenly distribute over chips.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese, black beans, and sliced jalapeños on top.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese melts and edges are crispy.
  • Top with pico de gallo, sour cream, green onions, cilantro, and diced avocado. Serve with lime wedges.

Notes

For extra crispiness, bake chips for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
